At Boston Street Tacos, we believe great food should be bold, fresh, and full of heart.

It started in a boxing gym.

Two founders. One shared world built on grit, discipline, and the belief that the best things in life—whether a fight or a meal—are worth doing right. That's where Boston Street Tacos was born: not in a culinary school or a corporate kitchen, but in a community that prizes hard work, loyalty, and showing up for each other.

That connection runs all the way to the menu.

Our tacos are named after fighters–you might recognize a name or two—a small but deliberate tribute to the athletes who inspire us and the sport that brought us together. Every time you order a taco, you're eating a little piece of that story.

From that foundation, we built something we're proud of.

Our truck brings a modern twist to traditional Mexican street food — crafted with high-quality ingredients, bold flavors, and the kind of attention to detail that turns a lunch stop into something people talk about. Whether it's our cuchis marinated steak taco, our beer-battered fish taco, or our house-made chipotle aioli, every item on the menu reflects the same standard: do it with intention, or don't do it at all.

Boston Street Tacos grew out of the same community that Waymaker Boxing calls home. Waymaker is an athlete-led nonprofit in Dorchester that uses boxing to bring people together and create pathways to leadership and opportunity — serving youth and adults through structured training, mentorship, and community-based programs. Their motto says it best: boxing is the tool, community is the outcome. We're proud to support Waymaker through event partnerships and sponsorships, and to share their belief that a gym — like a food truck — can be a place where people from all walks of life find common ground.

Commonwealth Kitchen

We prep and operate out of Commonwealth Kitchen, a nonprofit food business incubator at 196 Quincy Street in Dorchester. Since 2009, Commonwealth Kitchen has helped launch more than 150 diverse food businesses, creating over 500 new permanent jobs in the process. Being part of that network means being part of something bigger than our truck — a Dorchester-rooted community of entrepreneurs who believe good food and real opportunity should go hand in hand. It's exactly the kind of company we want to keep.
